Visitors to our Website
When someone visits www.thethumble.com we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
We also use another third-party service Facebook, to learn more about the type of customer that purchases a product from our site. Similar to Google, this information is processed in a way in which keeps the customer anonymous. We can use this information to advertise through Facebook in a more targeted manner to those people who are likely to buy our products i.e. new parents, buyers of baby products.
For more information on the third-party services and cookies we use, please read our separate cookie policy here
If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.
Order Process and Newsletter
As part of the order process for our products, we collect personal information. We use that information for a number of reasons: to know where to send your order to; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied; to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about. We would never rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We occasionally use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to send emails to our customers (only when you have specifically requested for us to tell you about stuff we have been up to or upcoming items/products you may be interested in). For more information, please see their privacy policy here.
We also use another third-party provider, www.reviews.io to email our customers to check that they were satisfied with the service and product that they received from Thumble Baby Care. For more information on their privacy policy please see here.
